In the landscape seen by Luca Capuano is as if the shot could succeed at imposing on the known scene, and aped in decades of tourist souvenirs, a stroke of a knife. Sure rupture, but after a closer look, they preserve traits in conjunction, consistency and regularity. Sometimes on a vast slice of the frame stands an object in the foreground, which is then the "side" elected to represent the entire site, and sometimes its monumental mass directly clutters three quarters of the frame, but is unable to overwhelm the entire field of vision. A part must always coexist with the others that are minor only in appearance. Generally these are arranged in long, diagonal, fleeting lines at the precipice of endless perspectives. There, where the foreground seems an immovable surface, the lateral deviations produce a dizzying sensation of depth.

Pierfrancesco Frillici

Luca Capuano, born July 3, 1974, lives and works in Bologna, is a professional photographer specializing in the photography of architecture. He has realized numerous projects of documentation and interpretive analysis of the contemporary and historic architecture for private companies, architects, publishers, museums, foundations and government agencies. His images are published in the major national and international journals in the field (Octagon, Interni, Domus, Casabella...). He was compared, commissioned by publishing houses, magazines and architectural firms, with the works of the greatest Italian and international architects (Scarpa, Piano, Citterio, Fuksas, Delucchi, Steven Holl, Mayer, Zaha Hadid...) traveling in all of Europe, and with the works of the masters of design (Magistretti, Munari, Roberto Matta, Bridges, Castiglioni, Ron Arad, Droog Desigh...). He has to his credit many articles documenting the historic, artistic and cultural Italian heritage, commissioned by publishing houses (Logos, Compositori) and institutions. His research on space has led him to dialogue with commissions, not only tied to the world of contemporary design (Artemide, Flos, Frau, Saporiti, Lago, Ferrari, 3M, Philips, Alitalia...) but also the advertising industry (Ducati, Pinko, Puma, Redwall, La Perla, Sissi Rossi, Vogue Italy, etc.) and present also in the art world thanks to research and representation of the area, expositions in different private galleries and public institutions. He has participated in various editorial projects documenting the transformation of the landscape, commissioned by public institutions (UNESCO, Ministero dei Beni Artistici e Culturali, Provincia di Ferrara, Regione Emilia Romagna, etc.). He teaches history and language of photography.
